The Written Word

Embellish the scenery with greenery
My mind works hard, you can call it philosophical machinery
It results in poetic output
Shapes my outlook, through my life narrow is the route took
Some call it sin, others call it apostasy
I call it mind power and exposing the hypocrisy
Within the church and the so-called democracy
I'm not afraid to challenge the bureacracy
At bottom it's complex, and reflects
The collective unawareness of the underlying concepts
Ignorance is the opiate of the masses
Running thick like molasses through all social classes
As time passes, in all I've observed
All I've seen, touched and heard is inherently absurd
Our vision is blurred and our speech is slurred
But don't rule out the power of the written word...
